The FDAAA's core mission is to help alumni stay in touch with the issues of the day facing FDA and support the Agency's public health mission through expertise-sharing, training and outreach oportunities. FDAAA's activities designed to support this mission are:

- Expertise-sharing opportunities with FDA
- Outreach programs designed to stimulate interest in FDA employment
- Consultations with national health authorities on regulatory strategies and programs
