Florence Houn, M.D.
Florence Houn served 15 years in FDA, most recently as Deputy Director for the Office of Vaccines Research and Review in the Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research from 2006 to 2008. Since leaving FDA, she has joined Celgene Corporation as Vice President for Regulatory Policy and Strategy. From 1999 to 2006, Dr. Houn was the Director, Office of Drug Evaluation III in the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research. She served as a Deputy Director for the Office of Drug Evaluation II in 1998, and from 1993 to 1998, was the Director for the Division of Mammography Quality and Radiation Programs in the Center for Devices and Radiological Health. She served four years in the National Health Service Corps in a manpower health shortage area in East Baltimore prior to joining FDA.
