Eligibility Requirements

Alumni Member: Any person previously employed by the FDA

Associate Member: Any current FDA employee

Distinguished Member: Any former FDA employee whom the Board of Directors recognizes as having made an exceptional contribution to the mission of the FDA. Distinguished Members are exempt from dues.

Honorary Member: Any person whom the Board of Directors recognizes as having made exceptional contributions to the mission of the FDA. Honorary Members are exempt from dues.

Reasons to Join FDAAA

FDAAA encourages all alumni and current employees to become members. The many devoted and talented individuals associated with FDA are special and FDAAA is the special place for them to join. See Ten (10) Good Reasons to Join.

In concluding remarks made by former Bureau of Drugs Director, Dr. Richard (Dick) Crout at the FDAAA Kelsey Award Celebration on December 6, 2012 he share the sense of what all FDAAA members feel, but no one has ever said it better!"

I have had a number of jobs in my life-in academia, in the private sector and in government. I enjoyed them all. But head and shoulders better than all the rest was my time at the FDA. It was the hardest job I ever had, but also the most interesting and most satisfying. No career is more enjoyable and more honorable than public service. This is the bond we all share as members of the FDAAA.

Dues for Alumni members are $35 for 1 year, $65 for 2 years, or $90 for 3 years; and dues for Associate members are $20 for 1 year; $35 for 2 years, or $50 for 3 years. A lifetime membership is available for a one-time fee of $300.

Include in this order, the name of the person, position and part of FDA where he/she last worked, date of retirement, years with FDA and the contact information for the person's retirement party logistics if desired
