Dr. Steven Solomon Appointed As DACRA

Dr. Steven Solomon has been appointed as the Deputy Associate Commissioner for Regulatory Affairs (DACRA) for the Office of Regulatory Affairs (ORA) effective April 6, 2014.

Dr. Solomon has been acting in this role since January 2013 and has left his position as the Associate Director for Global Operations and Policy in the Office of Global Regulatory Operations and Policy (GO). In this role, he served as the lead for a broad portfolio of high level projects, initiatives and assignments

Dr. Solomon has more than 24 years of FDA experience and has served in ORA in a wide variety of positions, most recently from 2008 through 2012 as the Assistant Commissioner for Compliance Policy within the Immediate Office of the ACRA. Prior to that position he served as Deputy Director, Office of Regional Operations.

This past year, Dr. Solomon has led the operations of the Office of Communications and Quality Program Management (OCQPM), Office of Policy and Risk Management (OPRM), and Office of Partnerships (OP), along with the IT Staff and the Executive Secretariat Staff in the Immediate Office of the ACRA.
